I love being home for break! I've done loads of baking with my mum, we made pumpkin harvest biscuits Saturday evening, we made chocolate cupcakes with vanilla whipped filling and chocolate frosting today. They were rather challenging, but I never back down from a baking challenge. Spent loads of time with family, I love my grandmum Molly and she gave me the greatest holiday gift of all. A hand written and bound book of her recipes. I will guard it with my life, it's like the holy grail of Weasley cooking. I'm making it my goal to cook through the entire thing over the summer holiday. And to take tons of pictures of what I made so I can always remember it.
Over the break I started getting my applications together for zoology healing programs in the UK. It's not the easiest field to break into since it's a very small pool of learning establishments that offer the proper courses. I'm incredibly nervous about the application in general and probably won't hear anything until March if my application has even been processed. That's all I'm going to say, I don't want to get overwhelmed just yet.
My parents got me a brand new bicycle for Christmas, I was so excited. My last bike, it had a rather unfortunate end. I had it resting for just a moment, just one moment against the curb in front of the music studio where I'm taking my music lessons, and I was reaching around to get my bike chain out of my mum's car. She drove me up there with my bike in the trunk and I was going to ride home after purchasing some sheet music. Well, while I was getting my bike chain out, some car came speeding through the parking lot and hit it. They never ever stopped, they just murdered my bike and kept going. It was so sad! That bike was perfect, it had a wicker basket, and a bell. You can only imagine my happy surprise when I woke up on Christmas morning to find this beauty waiting for me.
( My sweet new ride )
I'm going to get a new basket for it, something I can put on the back. I can't wait for spring now.
